Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

Hi everyone!
It's so nice to see that everyone is traveling with me. I love the fact that you all are so interested in the little things that I love to do and listen to me babble on and on some times about it all.
I love blogging, even through this transition that I had to make.
I found a book in a collection of books that I had found at Goodwill....for those of you who don't know.....I collect books, any kind of books......old, new, worn, stain, it doesn't matter, I like them.

Sorry, I am babbling again!

Anyway, I found this book called
"Don't Sweat the Small Stuff"

it's perfect for what I have been going through these last couple of days.
Stressing of nothing really important.
It's full of inspiration and I actually have taken the time to read a little bit of it.

It's helping....I really should have not put myself through so much worry about my blog, but I truly believe that I took the right road and did the "right" thing and just let the other one go.
I had lots of wonderful things shown there, and so wish I could move it all here, but
I know in due time this one will grow!
Slowly but surely it is all coming together and so happy that you join in.
Looking forward to many visit from the best followers ever!
So.....Thank you!

Moving on to happier things......

I am still in love with my latest bunny. Still have to put a bow on her head to hide sewing stitches and also a flower for the front of her dress....

Also I am in love with this new yarn I bought at Hobby Lobby over the weekend.
It is called " I LOVE THIS COTTON"
it comes in so many yummy colors that I wish I could have brought home the whole rack,
but I only brought home a few.....

PALE DEMIN
IVORY
PISTACHE
BLUSH
WHITE

Pretty pastels for Spring in very very near!

I also have been working on little ballet slippers for my bunnies...
I really love them....
Now why won't the ones I want to wear come out this cute?

Oups!...I see a string that needs to be cut on her toe!

I could not help myself....from my other blog, I had shown you a blanket that I was in the process of making, well......that one got pushed aside for now, for I just had to jump right into all this yummy yarn!

Do you ever do that....I am sure some of you may!

I already have about 16 squares put together and attached, joining as I go and I am using a size "F" crochet hook. I love the small size for some reason. I usually use a size "G" , they just fit better in my hand for I have very small long fingers.
Mom said I should have learned to play the piano.....that never happen!

I am using the pattern for the starburst granny square. I found a link for a pattern if you wish to look.
Just click HERE

I love this pattern!
No matter how many colors you choose for this pattern, the blanket always seems to come out different. It's very simple to me and works up really fast if you join as you go.

Well, that's about it for the day....I have house cleaning to do today.
I see dust bunnies!

See you all again soon!

Love Always,

Shari

  6. Hi Shari!
I collect books too. I love them! We are a family of readers. My oldest daughter is a librarian here in town. It's one of our favorite hang outs!
I use the "I Love This Cotton" yarn from Hobby Lobby like crazy. It is wonderful. All of my dishcloths are made from it and they wash up and hold up beautifully.
    Happy hooking Girl!

  7. I'm so glad everyone has found your new space. It's a beautiful blog. :-). I love your bunny slippers and the blanket too. I discovered the join as you go method a few years ago and I'm so happy I found it. It really takes the tediousness(is that a word?) out of joining the squares.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  10. I have that book! Did you know that the guy that wrote that, died suddenly at a fairly young age? He had been on Oprah and other talk shows when those books came out. Lots of good thoughts in that book. I buy Hobby Lobby's Love that Yarn. I have not tried the cotton yarn yet. Pretty colors! Thanks for becoming a follower of mine! ~ Hugs, Patti

  13. Oh my goodness, I missed all the drama about Lauren's closet... rotten woman making you change your blog, she thinks rather a lot of herself obviously ;-)

Of course I'll be following you over here, I love visiting your space and looking at all your lovely crochet goodies. I've just started taking my children to ballet lessons and when the children go off the mums all whip out the crochet, it's brilliant xx
